Yes, 5 ingredients is all you will need for today's delicious, tender meat. It is so simple that I have decided to keep even my write up on it simple...
So Let's Get Started... Pork Roast Extra Virgin Olive Oil Salt (Sea Salt is my favorite for things like this) Pepper (Cracked Pepper is another favorite) 1.5 Cup Root Beer (More or less depending on how much meat you have)
Start by searing the outside of your roast in aHOT pan heated with EVOO. Make sure to sear all sides until they are a toasty brown...like a sweet Marshmallow.
With your roast seared all over it is now time to plug in your crock pot on low ...and toss in the meat. To that you will add your Salt and Pepper...to taste. I went a little heavy on both as I had a big chunk of pork to flavor so how much you add is all up to you.
Root Beer Time! After adding the salt and pepper, pour your root beer all over the top. Your Root Beer should ride about 3/4 of the way up the meat and not cover it completely...now let it cook on low for 4-6 hours depending on how thick your cut is.
And that is it...Simple right?!
Pair it with some vegie sides and you have a DELICIOUS meal that really only took you minutes to create.
